Comedian Kevin Hart will take the lead role in The Precious One, which will be based on the weightlifting champion’s life and upbringing in South Africa, including his struggle to overcome racial hatred and poverty.
The Precious One will also feature The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress Tatyana Ali, Kim Basinger and Nick Nolte.
The movie is due for release in 2012.
