Fashion:
It's a Booty call…
The definition of what is deemed fashionable is ever changing, and once again what is classed as in vogue is being challenged by Moots aka man boots – this autumn/winter's newest pet peeve – you either love them or hate them.
Already donned by music mogul Pharrell Williams (of N*E*R*D), fashionistas around the globe are indecisive about the knee high, man boot revolution sweeping through the States.
This is not the first time womenswear has been altered for the male anatomy; Skinny jeans a garment first designed for women to naturally elongate the length of the leg, is now sported by indie boys and grown men, and can be purchased in high end and high street stores. Take the basic V-neck as another example, originally worn by women to expose their feminine décolletage, but it has now become a popular basic amongst men, worn to flatten out the chest. We should have known shoes would soon follow.
There are various types of moots, in fact you guys are spoilt for choice. Keep warm this autumn/winter with a classic and not to mention comfy pair of Ugg boots (also modeled by Pharrell), but if your masculine budget can stretch further indulge in a pair of Gucci's caramel suede man booties.
Some deem this new craze as fashion forward, others declare it as a fashion faux pas – but only time will tell, if men will actually make that all important booty call …
