Mr and Mrs Runway

Mr and Mrs Runway is a brand new modeling competition taking place from the 1st to 15th  August 2010 in held in The Camden Centre.

The competition will see up to 30 wannabe models whittled down by the audience, to just two lucky winners who will be crowned Mr and Mrs Runway. The competition will be hosted by Kat from MTV Base and will have exclusive performances from Richard Blackwood, Slim and ‘Jay' from the recent Street Dance 3D movie.

The crowned Mr and Mrs Runway will win 3 modeling contracts with modeling agencies, DLK Model Management, Mahogany Models and BMA Model Management. Each winner will also be given a 4 day trip for two, to Paris and the opportunity to model during London Fashion Week. The competition aims to attract around 400 people each week.

This competition aims to help build awareness for the charity youth organisation, Options 4 Change and to provide a platform for up and coming fashion designers and singers. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Options 4 Change, to help them achieve their goal of encouraging young people to develop their talents and interests away from the streets.  

The event, created by Streamline Empire, is an innovative platform seeking to nurture and recognize the demand for aspiring models, especially those from ethnic minority backgrounds, in today's fashion industry. ‘It is very important to Streamline Empire, to make young people aware of the importance of equality and diversity and to pursue their passion against all odds'.
