The Shearling Jacket is moseying back into the wardrobes of many, as the near-forgotten memories of a brief summer dissipate into the calming cool of autumn. I remember toying with the idea of buying one that I saw on the ASOS website last year - immediately regretting not making the purchase when the heavy snowfall set in. This regret has only heightened, as the result of it returning as this year’s trend is a doubling in the price. Albeit, I like the newer jacket twice as much as I did the last. Nonetheless, although I probably won’t be shelling out for this - nor will I spend near to a grand for the Acne jacket I love the look of - there are slightly more affordable options. However, a quality jacket is for life, not just for Christmas – so gents, ladies, style-followers, the colder-blooded – consider making the investment. Whether you can afford to spend £350 at ASOS, or you’re fortunate to find a cheaper vintage style, there are plenty of adaptations – so find one to suit you. That way it can be your “old faithful” when the temperature drops.
