Lloyd is Back

RnB singer Lloyd is set for the return to the music world and is about to set a few hearts aflutter with his new album aptly titled King Of Hearts.

After a short hiatus the 24-year-old New Orleans native is ready to reclaim his title as the smooth singing crooner with his album due for release early next year.

He says: "It's a growth process, it's been a few years since the last time I released my own music, so for me, it's pretty relieving. Just to know that all the hard work has paid off. For me, I think it's the perfect start for King of Hearts, which is my next album to be released, produced by Polow Da Don, recorded in Los Angeles and I just think people have never heard me sing like this before. I think it's clever, the fact that we're gonna release it in February, right around Valentine's Day, it just kinda worked out.

“Aside from Polow, there isn't much more on the album production-wise. I wanted to keep it consistent and I wanted to have continuity in the sound and I think when you bounce around and work with a lot of people, you kinda lose the complete thought and you end up with a bunch of sentence fragments.

"So with me working with just Polow, we all was focused, in the same direction, we all dedicated 110 per cent of ourselves toward this project. And I think only then can you get the best quality sound."
